Sony Mobile has announced via their Twitter page that Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update will be rolling out soon for the following devices :
- Sony Xperia T
- Sony Xperia TX
- Sony Xperia V
- Sony Xperia SP
This rollout will take place sometime this month or next month. There is no exact date given but it will be towards the end of this month or early next month. This is good for Sony mobile users because you know that if you buy Sony smartphones, you can enjoy the latest updates for some time. That is the advantage of buying smartphone of some well known brands.
If you have bought any of Sony’s flagship devices such as Xperia Z1 or Xperia Z Ultra, the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update were available since last month for these 2 devices. Even for other Sony devices such as Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR and Xperia Tablet Z, the Android 4.3 update was available just within one week after it was released for the flagship models mentioned above.
Although my first experience with Sony was not a great one, I wish that I could give it a try again. Well, Sony Ericsson devices were fantastic. I’ve used many of their Android devices and I liked their cute devices like Xperia X10 Mini, Xperia Active etc. Once it was taken over 100% by Sony, my first device was Sony Xperia Go and unfortunately, I was just too unlucky to get a buggy unit. The problem was still there even after sending it to the service centre and that was the last I used a Sony smartphone.
That was 2 years ago and things are no longer the same now. Sony has got a lot better (not sure about their after sales service though). I will definitely give it another try.
